Fuel reduction burns happening at CFB Suffield

Officials at Canadian Forces Base Suffield will be conducting fuel reduction burns on the base over the next few days.

A Facebook post on the base page says the burns will happen along a few select routes in the Range and Training Area to reduce grassy overgrowth.

The post advises that smoke may be seen on the base from a distance and that fire suppression assets and mitigation measures will be in place throughout the operation as a precautionary measure.
