Grande Prairie RCMP seek suspect in theft of vehicles and police gear

Mar 17, 2022 | 10:45 AM

Grande Prairie RCMP are searching for a male suspect wanted in relation to the theft of several vehicles, including a police cruiser, as well as an RCMP patrol jacket and high impact weapon.

At around 10:41 p.m. Wednesday, RCMP located a vehicle in the area of 162 Avenue and 102 Street that had been reported as stolen.

Attempts to stop the vehicle led to it being driven off the road. A female suspect in the vehicle at the time was arrested, but a male suspect fled on foot and drove off in a police cruiser.

The cruiser was eventually recovered, but a number of items were taken from it, including an RCMP patrol jacket and toque, handcuffs, a hard body armour and a 40 mm extended range impact weapon.

Pinfield is described as being 6 feet tall and 210 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes, and light skin.

He is wanted on outstanding warrants and should be considered armed.
