MEDICINE HAT, AB — After COVID restrictions and disruptions impacted the last two years, organizers of Quonset Days are glad to be back at it again and are planning what they call The Greatest Outdoor Party on Dirt.

What started as a tribute to Peter Biemans in 2010 as a way to raise money for ALS, the event has grown and has been able to contribute more than $400,000 to the cause.

Organizer Trevor Biemans says this years event will be the 11th annual, and will expand for the first time into a three-day event, starting July 21.

Biemans says they’re setting aside a portion of the proceeds that day in support of HALO Air Ambulance, with Jason McCoy the featured artist.

“We are mandated by our bylaws that we want to help other health organizations in the area so that’s how the partnership with HALO came to be,” says Biemans.

The Reklaws, Tim and the Glory Boys and the Chevelles are on stage on July 22.

The event wraps up on Saturday, July 23 with Corb Lund and Steven Lee Olsen, with the Reese Klaiber Band and Phoenix also performing.

Weekend passes for the event are on sale now for $150. Individual day passes and VIP packages are also available at QuonsetDays.com.
