Data leak shows dozens of Hatters donated to Freedom Convoy

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Dozens of Hatter’s helped fund the Freedom Convoy, according to data leaked from GiveSendGo, an American fundraising platform.
A wide range of locals donated to the protests including a mental health therapist, a firefighter, rancher and accountants.
GiveSendGo is a Christian fundraising website that collected more than $10 million from more than 92,000 donors after a GoFundMe account was shut down by the company.
The leak revealed people’s names, emails, postal codes and the amount donated and showed the millions of dollars raised came from both Canadians and Americans.
