MEDICINE HAT, AB – Crews will be doing maintenance on an operating gas well in Crescent Heights on Tuesday.
Routine inspection of a well in Terrace Park uncovered the need to repair a malfunctioning valve on the wellhead, says the city in a news release. Equipment will enter the park from Terrace Way NE. Parking, roadway and trail restrictions may occur for short time in order for the equipment to access and maneuver around the work area.
People will see a coil tubing unit and wireline unit (similar to the equipment in Saamis Rotary Park recently) in Terrace Park starting Tuesday and may notice a temporary increase in noise. This work is expected to take one day unless unforeseen circumstances arise.
There is no anticipated danger to residents aside from proximity to heavy equipment. The public is asked to observe a safe distance from the worksite and obey all signage, barriers and personnel.
