Known active COVID-19 cases dropping quickly in city, province
The number of known active COVID-19 cases in Medicine Hat is down by nearly 200 since Friday and by more than 3,300 in the province.
There are now 1,528 Albertans in hospital with COVID-19, 124 of which are in ICU, and 3,776 deaths.
An AHS spokesperson told CHAT News Friday that there are currently 86 COVID-19 positive inpatients in the South Zone with eight of those in the ICU. There are 27 inpatients at Medicine Hat Regional Hospital with four COVID-19 positive patients in the ICU.
Chinook Regional Hospital has 37 inpatients with four in the ICU. Brooks Health Centre and Taber Health Centre have four inpatients each; Bassano Health Centre, Cardston Health Centre, and Pincher Creek Health Centre have two each; Big Country Hospital and Crowsnest Pass Health Centre have one each.
