City to begin taking down festive lights

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The city is preparing to remove its festive lighting decorations, beginning today.

Crews will begin removing the lights downtown, then make their way around the city.

Motorists are asked to obey all the traffic signs and posted speed limits in the areas.

The planned order of removal is below.

• Downtown
• 1 Street SE
• Maple Avenue Bridge
• 8 Street NE
• Division Avenue N near 20 Street NE
• Kingsway Avenue SE and South Railway Street SE
• Trans Canada Way SE
• Carry Drive SE
• Dunmore Road SE
• 13 Avenue SE
