Prince Andrew stripped of military titles and patronages

LONDON, U.K. – A major shakeup at Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Family put out a brief statement Thursday, saying that “The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to the Queen.”

Prince Andrew will continue to not undertake any public duties in an official capacity.

This comes as he faces a civil case in the U.S. over claims that he sexually assaulted a girl when she was 17 years old. He was unable to convince an American judge to throw out the case.

The Royal Family confirms that he will defend this case as a private citizen.
