Dec 9, 2021 | 4:49 PM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The holiday season is upon us and the Medicine Hat Interpretive Program wants to help you bring the spirit to your home.

You can design your own Holiday Door Swag this Saturday at the Nature Centre. Workstations and supplies will be prepared for participants to design their own decorations using mostly natural materials.

“Our seasonal goal is to have fun making new traditions or making new memories,” reads a release from the Interpretive Program.

Materials are limited and people are encouraged to bring their own decorations as well.

Registration is required with time slots starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. You can call 403-529-6225 to register.

The fee is $10.

Busy Little Beavers

An interactive kids program will take place on Dec. 18 to celebrate the beaver exhibit currently on display at the Nature Centre.

Busy Little Beavers is for kids five to 10 years old.

The program will explore the fascinating features and activities of the beaver, and will include an adventure into the park in search of evidence of beaver activity. This hands-on program will have both an indoor and outdoor component. Participants should bring a mask for the indoor component, and appropriate warm clothing for the outdoor component. The program is about 40 minutes long.

Registration is required for this program. A minimum donation of $5 per family is suggested.

The exhibit will be on display until Dec. 21.
