MEDICINE HAT, AB – Canada Day at the Stampede grounds will begin with a free pancake breakfast and end, of course, with fireworks.

The Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede released the schedule of events on Friday.

The pancake breakfast will be held from 8-10 a.m. in the Cypress Centre parking lot with entertainment from a local musician.

At noon, Hatters will be welcomed to the grounds for activities for all ages including live music and entertainment, food trucks, children’s activities, Farmers’ Market, axe throwing and cultural activities. Safety City and Pioneer Village will also be open for Hatters to check out.

From 5-8 p.m. the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association will host Thunderdome, a skateboard and cultural presentation, in partnership with the Miywasin Centre and Cousins Skateboard Community.

Following that, Foxx Worthee will perform at the grandstand at 8 p.m., followed by the Chevelles at 9:30.

The fireworks will wrap the celebration.

All activities held on the grounds will follow all guidelines set out by the Alberta Chief Medical Officer of Health.
