EDMONTON — From snow on the ground last week, to special weather statements and heat warnings the next.

Environment Canada says we’re on the edge of a heat wave that will see daytime highs between 28 and 35 degrees, lasting until Friday.

Overnight lows will only drop to between 13 and 18 degrees.

Medicine Hat’s forecast high for Thursday is 36 degrees.

Today is the first day of meterological summer, and the Weather Network says it will be a hot and dry one for most of the southern prairies, with above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation.
