Province reports 721 new cases on Monday

Across Alberta, there are 21,288 active cases, down 992 from Sunday, and 196,246 recovered cases, up 1,708.

Alberta’s total cases from the start of the pandemic is 219,682.

There have been 41,423 variant cases ID’d in the province, 274 new today. There are 2,287 in the South Zone.

There are 721 total new cases in the province today.

Only a preliminary update of numbers is available on Monday afternoon.

There are now 678 Albertans in hospital with COVID-19, 181 of which are in ICU, and 2,148 deaths.

The province completed 7,002 tests in the past 24 hours.

The positivity rate is about 10.3 per cent.

Alberta has administered 2,189,999 of vaccine at the latest update.
