UPDATE: The Medicine Hat Police Service said no charges were laid following a high-risk stop along College Ave Saturday evening.

Speaking to CHAT News, Acting Staff Sgt. Ernie Fischhofer said three male youths have been turned over to their parents, after officers located a pellet gun inside their vehicle.

Staff Sgt. Fischhofer said just before 6 p.m. police received a report of a vehicle in the 500 block of 5 Ave SW. The report indicated three men and what appeared to be a long gun.

Police observed the vehicle coming out of Kin Coulee Park. That’s when officers conducted a high-risk stop near the college.

The three men were removed one at a time from the vehicle, and Sgt. Fischhofer said they were cooperative in telling police the location of the pellet gun.
