CALGARY – The Alberta director of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation is moving up the organization’s ladder.

Franco Terrazzano has been appointed the group’s federal director.

“We’ve got a lot of work to do to push the feds to get serious about addressing its $1-trillion debt tab and rein in spending,” said Terrazzano. “Canadians can’t afford higher taxes and we’re going to make sure politicians get that message.”

Terrazzano, who has been the Alberta director since 2018 will begin his new position this summer. He’ll temporarily serve as both the Alberta and federal director.

“Franco is smart, articulate and, most importantly, absolutely dedicated to standing up for taxpayers,” says Todd MacKay, the CTF’s vice President of communications in a release. “During his time as Alberta Director, he made politicians feel the heat when they wasted taxpayers’ money and we’re confident he’ll do the same thing in Ottawa.”

Terrazzano replaces Aaron Wudrick, the federal director since 2014.

Before joining the CTF, Terrazzano was an economic policy analyst with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and the Canadian Constitution Foundation.
