UPDATE: Alberta Health Services says the site went live at about 10 a.m.

EDMONTON — The system used for booking an appointment for the COVID 19 vaccine in Alberta is glitching again.

AHS says the website is having intermittent issues, and the booking tool launch this morning is delayed as a result.

That means call volumes to 811 Health Link are expected to be higher and they’re advising people to try later in the day, if they get a busy signal.

Eligible Albertans can also book at a participating pharmacy by visiting ab.bluecross.ca.

Today is the beginning of Phase 2A of Alberta’s immunization program for people born between 1947 and 1956, as well as First Nations, Metis and Inuit born in 1971 or earlier.
