MEDICINE HAT — A 35 year old Medicine Hat woman was sent to Calgary hospital with life threatening injuries, after crashing her mo-ped early yesterday afternoon.

City police say the woman suddenly changed lanes while heading northbound on South Railway street at the 5th street intersection.

She collided with the passenger side of a heavy duty pick up that was hauling an unloaded flat deck trailer.

That collision and the road surface contributed to her substantial injuries.

The driver of the heavy duty pick up truck was not hurt.

The mishap took just before 1:30 Thursday afternoon.

The MHPS said Friday that the woman is in stable condition and suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash.
