Most new cases in Calgary, Edmonton

No change in Medicine Hat COVID-19 numbers, 164 new cases in Alberta

Medicine Hat remains at two active cases of COVID-19. The city has recorded a total of 69 cases over the course of the pandemic – 65 are recovered and there have been two deaths.

Alberta has a total of 14,066 cases after 164 cases were confirmed in Tuesday’s update.

The province now has 1,398 active cases, up 23 from Monday, and 12,427 recovered cases, up 134.

There are currently 50 Albertans in hospital, 10 in ICU. There are 241 deaths, up two from Monday.

The province conducted 9,334 tests in the past 24 hours.

In the South Zone, there are 1,748 total cases. There are 30 cases considered active and 1,694 recovered. There are currently two people in hospital in the South Zone, one of which is in ICU. There have been 24 deaths in the zone.

Dr Hinshaw will provide her next in-person update on Thursday.

Cypress County has totaled 31 cases – all recovered.

The County of Forty Mile has 24 total cases, three new in Tuesday’s update. There are four active cases and the rest recovered.

The MD of Taber has 38 total cases — one active, 37 recovered.

Special Areas No. 2 has 13 total cases, all of which are recovered.

Brooks has 1,128 total cases —1,117 are recovered and two are active. Brooks has recorded nine deaths.

The County of Newell has a total of 32 cases — two active, 29 recovered and one death.

The County of Warner has 59 total cases. Of those, 58 are recovered cases and there has been one death in the county.

The City of Lethbridge has a total of 156 cases. There are 13 active cases, 141 recovered and there have been two deaths. Lethbridge County has 34 cases, four active cases and the rest recovered.

The figures on alberta.ca are “up-to-date as of end of day Aug. 31, 2020.”

Saskatchewan reported three new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday. Neither of the two with confirmed locations are in the South Zones.

Saskatchewan has a total of 1,622 cases, 31 considered active. There are 1,567 recovered cases and there have been 24 COVID-19 deaths in the province.
