Hues for Humanity bingo scavenger hunt next month

MEDICINE HAT, AB – The annual colour run in Medicine Hat will take place as a bingo scavenger hunt this year.

The 5K Hues for Humanity run was suppose to be held at Echo Dale in June to support Canadian Humanitarian.

Now participants will receive a bingo card with 24 city locations on it.

Teams will have a full week to race around the city, take selfies, and post as many locations on social media as possible.

Program Development Director Danielle Skogen says teams have a full week to participate between September 7-12.

Or you can finish the colour run bingo in one day with your team.

Skogen says many who were signed up for the original colour run in June were still excited for the new version and kept their registration.

“Actually a lot of people were really intrigued by this new structure. The cool thing is we are an international organization and so the primary focus of our work at Canadian Humanitarian is education, relief, and empowerment in developing countries. But, the neat thing about this structure is we’re actually able to collaborate with local businesses and drive a lot of attention and promotion and support to the local businesses so we’ve been really excited about that piece and it seems to be a big draw for participants and sponsors as well.”

Skogen adds by filling in the bingo spaces, teams are eligible to win tons of great prizes from local venues and sponsors, “The more spaces filled out, the more chances to win!”

To sign up visit the Hues for Humanity link.

The colour run bingo wraps up on September 12 with a virtual colour toss.

Meantime, a hidden colour splotch is in a secret location in the city before the colour bingo starts.

Skogen says anyone can take a photo with the splotch and tag Canadian Humanitarian Hues for Humanity to be automatically entered to win a prize. Right now the splotch is hidden downtown.

There’s a chance to win a prize pack for 4 people to axe throw at 616 Entertainment which is just opening their axe throwing room.
