Temporary closure of Saratoga Park Trail to start Aug. 24

Aug 18, 2020 | 10:24 AM

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A portion of the Saratoga Park Trail will be closed for about two weeks as work continues to upgrade water and sewer mains near Spencer Street SE.

Parts of the trail along Seven Persons Creek will be closed from Aug. 24 until about Sept. 5, barring weather and unforeseen delays.

The trail must be closed so that crews can access underground infrastructure in the area.

Fencing will be erected to restrict access near the construction areas.

The city asks pedestrians to stay clear of all construction areas and avoid pathway use beyond the pathway closure signs.

The work is part of the City of Medicine Hat’s multi-year rehabilitation project for the water and sewer mains in the Spencer Street and Kipling Street area
