Residential Infill Incentive Program launched

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Invest Medicine Hat has announced five separate grants as part of a program that intended to speed up development and reconstruction of infill properties.

According to a release from the City of Medicine Hat, the program will benefit established neighbourhoods and provide economic stimulus to grow the city’s property assessment base as part of the city’s COVID-19 response.

“Our City is continuing to look for creative ways to get our community back to work,” says Jason Melhoff, managing director of Invest Medicine Hat. “Our goal with this incentive is to enhance and benefit established neighborhoods and provide economic stimulus for the local trades industry.”

Applications are now being accepted and completed applications must be sent to Invest Medicine Hat no later than noon on Dec. 31.

• New Construction Residential Densification and Renewal Grant
• Hazardous Materials Survey and Abatement Grant
• Professional Design Services Grant
• Eligible Utility Infrastructure Upgrades Grant
