Starbucks location approved for Medicine Hat’s north side

MEDICINE HAT, AB – A new Starbucks location is expected to be on the menu in Medicine Hat, in what would be the first of its kind located on the north side of the South Saskatchewan River.

According to the City of Medicine Hat, a commercial development permit for 511 4^th Avenue NE was approved last week.

The approved permit is listed as a commercial restaurant and is specified as a Starbucks location.

If construction goes ahead, the new Starbucks would be located on a small piece of land next to the Shamrock Bottle Depot off Altawana Drive and across the street from the new fire hall.

Along with the Starbucks franchises off 13^th Avenue SE and Strachan Road SE, the Altawana Drive location would join one other located in a Safeway franchise on Division Avenue.
