GRANDE PRAIRIE, AB – The Brooks Bandits (32-1-1) had six different goal scorers, and goaltender Pierce Charleson (Aurora, ON) made 27 saves for his 3rd shutout of the season as they triumped 6-0 over the Storm at Revolution Place on Friday night.

It was the Bandits 8th straight win, and their 4th straight on the road. Brooks hasn’t allowed a goal against in 130 minutes and 20 seconds of consecutive hockey, thanks to back to back shutouts.

Brooks needed only 1:47 into the game to get on the scoreboard. Forward James McIsaac (Winnipeg, MB) scored from the right circle. A minute later, forward Chris Pappas (Toronto, ON) scored from the same spot to make it 2-0.

The Bandits got a powerplay soon after and made it 3-0 at the 4:50 mark. Captain Jakob Lee (Owen Sound, ON) lasered the puck top shelf from the slot to force the Storm to make a goaltender change just five minutes into the game.

The 3-0 advantage held into the 3rd period after the Bandits were outshot in the second frame.

However, just 1:40 into the 3rd period, defenceman Corson Ceulemans (Beaumont, AB) carried the puck from the right point and scored from the corner to make it 4-0. Ceulemans then fought Austin Schellenberg at centre ice, and both given game misconducts.

Forward Marc-Antoine Benoit (Drummondville, QC) blasted the puck past goaltender Lars Kaliel at the 9:50 mark to make it 5-0. Forward Brayden Krieger (Elora, ON) added the finishing touches with a goal in the final two minutes to make it 6-0.

The Bandits conclude their road trip on Saturday (Dec. 14) with a trip to Whitecourt to face the Wolverines. Game time is 7:30 PM, live on Real Country 105.7 FM.
