Wednesday is final day to send packages via Canada Post in time for Christmas

MEDICINE HAT, AB —If you want your packages to reach your loved ones by Christmas, today is the last day to do it through Canada Post.

For regular mail, December 11 is the deadline for sending packages in Canada to ensure they reach their destination by December 25.

If you are willing to spend a bit more, you are able to send packages through Xpress Post up until December 20. Priority packages can be sent until December 23 to ensure they arrive by Christmas.

The deadline for shipping packages to the United States via regular mail passed Tuesday. You can still send via Xpress Post to the United States until Friday, and by Priority Mail until December 19.

If you have cards to send, you can still send them by regular mail across provinces by December 18 to ensure they arrive by December 25. The deadline for cards within your province is December 19, and within your city, cards need to be sent by December 20.
