Wanner’s official portrait unveiled in legislature

EDMONTON, AB — Medicine Hat’s MLA Bob Wanner was officially enshrined in the provincial legislature Monday morning.
An official portrait of the former Speaker of the Legislature was unveiled at the legislature during a special ceremony.
Wanner was elected as a member of the NDP in 2015, and held the speaker’s position for the entirety of his term. He declined to seek a second term as MLA during the 2019 election.
The portrait hangs on the fourth floor of the legislature, alongside portraits of the 12 others who served as Speaker of the Legislature.
