Highway 2 re-opened following major accident south of Sexsmith

Grande Prairie RCMP say all lanes are open along Highway 2 between Sexsmith and Clairmont, following the major accident Wednesday morning that involved anywhere from 20-30 vehicles.
Emergency services were called to the area just north of Emerson Trail (Highway 672), as a major pile-up was reported in the southbound lanes. STARS was dispatched to the scene just before 10 a.m.
At this time no confirmed injuries have been reported. RCMP say all emergency services have left the scene.
