MEDICINE HAT, AB — Environment Canada has ended all winter storm warnings for southern Alberta, including here in Medicine Hat.

The warning was lifted shortly after 11 a.m.

According to a preliminary report from Environment Canada, The City of Brooks received 34 centimetres of snow over the weekend, while the Calgary International Airport reported 27 centimetres of snow as of Monday morning.

Pekisko, located south of high River, received 62 centimetres of snow by Monday morning.

While the Trans-Canada Highway remains open, drivers are advised against non-essential travel due to the conditions..

Several travellers are reporting slow moving traffic or traffic at a standstill on the Trans-Canada Highway between Suffield and Brooks.

One Twitter user says a stalled truck near Tilley has caused the delays.
