Due to the weather, the justice minister has postponed his visit to Medicine Hat scheduled for September 30.

The visit will be rescheduled to another date and a public notice will be issued once it has been confirmed.

MEDICINE HAT, AB — Justice Minister Doug Schweitzer will be in Medicine Hat on Monday for his rural crime tour.

The tour began on September 5, and has already hit 15 municipalities, including Drumheller, Red Deer and Slave Lake.

Throughout the tour, Minister Schweitzer has met with individual residents, business owners, rural crime watch groups and local officials to hear their concerns.

He is scheduled to be at the Medicine Hat Feeding Company at 3381 Gershaw Drive SW from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on September 30.

The event is open and free to the public, but the Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce recommends people planning to attend register first.

Following his visit to Medicine Hat, Minister Schweitzer is continuing his tour until October 29, visiting seven municipalities, including Camrose, Leduc and Rocky Mountain House.
