City of Medicine Hat to close Finlay Bridge for light replacement

Finlay Bridge will close to vehicle traffic for one day on Oct. 21 as crews replace the bridge’s centre street lights, which have reached the end of their service life.

Motorists will be detoured to Maple Avenue Bridge during the closure.

Weather permitting, the work is expected to be completed by the end of the day, allowing the bridge to reopen to traffic.

Pedestrian walkways will remain open, but people are asked to stay off the roadway while crews complete the work.
