No major injuries after vehicle rolls into ditch northwest of Brooks

Brooks RCMP said there were major injuries reported after a vehicle rolled in Newell County into a ditch on Highway 550 west of Highway 862, near the Hamlet of Countess.

Mounties received a 911 call at about 2:26 p.m. Monday reporting the single-vehicle rollover.

Police say the driver was travelling eastbound and attempted to pass a semi-truck, but decided not to complete the pass.

The vehicle’s tire entered the ditch, causing the driver to lose control and roll the vehicle.
