On its website, 511 Alberta says all lanes are shut down near Range Road 121 due to an MVC and is recommending motorists take an alternate route.

A call to our newsroom indicated it was a two-vehicle crash and that several emergency vehicles and a Halo air ambulance were on scene.

It’s believed the collision occurred in the westbound lanes of the highway, however, there’s been no confirmation from fire or police.

There’s also been no indication on how long the highway might be closed.
