Medicine Hat Mavericks name Larsen new pitching coach

The Medicine Hat Mavericks have added to their coaching staff, hiring Micah Larsen as the club’s pitching coach for the 2027 season.

Larsen joins the Mavericks with a background in pitching development and collegiate baseball.

He currently works as a graduate assistant and assistant pitching coach at Mid-America Christian University, helping the program reach the NAIA World Series for the first time in its history.

Larsen also owns and operates A1 Pitching Development, providing individual instruction and remote training to athletes.

This past summer, he served as field manager of the Lakeside Beach Bums, leading the team to a 26-and-three record and a league-record .897 winning percentage.

Larsen will take over the Mavericks’ pitching staff ahead of the 2027 season.

He was part of a staff at Mid-American Christian University that also included Mavs head coach Ryan Reed, who will return for the 2027 season.
