Police say a Hyundai was travelling southbound on 2nd Street West and attempting to turn left onto 15th Avenue when it collided with a northbound Chevrolet in the intersection.

One person suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital for assessment.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene, as the collision investigation remains ongoing.

Early the next morning, at about 12:39 a.m. on Sept. 23, a Brooks RCMP officer conducting proactive foot patrols at Plaza Apartments encountered a woman who was allegedly trespassing on the property.

Police identified the woman as Nyaibol DENG and determined she was in breach of conditions from two separate release orders originating from Brooks RCMP and the Medicine Hat Police Service.

DENG was arrested and charged with three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

She was held for a judicial interim release hearing and was subsequently released by the courts with conditions.
