13-year-old Alberta racer Rhett Pearce caps historic season with Medicine Hat win
A 13-year-old Alberta racer capped a memorable season Saturday with a win at Medicine Hat Speedway, adding another milestone to a year that has already seen him make history.
Crossfield’s Rhett Pearce entered Saturday’s race leading the series by two points, and came away with the victory.
The Medicine Hat win came just one week after Pearce was crowned the 2026 track champion at Edmonton International Raceway, where he won every race at the track this season.
Pearce finished first in his opening heat, third in his second heat and then won the feature race Saturday night to secure the championship.
