Sask. RCMP seize over 2,000 pounds of illegal cannabis near Maple Creek
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Roving Traffic Unit (RTU) have seized over 2,000 pounds of illegal cannabis during a traffic stop in the Maple Creek area.
According to the RCMP, officers stopped an eastbound vehicle on Highway 1 at about 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 4 while conducting safety patrols in the area.
The vehicle was initially stopped for a violation of Saskatchewan’s Vehicle Equipment Regulations.
RTU officers, with assistance from Maple Creek RCMP, located and seized about 1,928 pounds of dried cannabis, 56 pounds of hashish and 15 litres of THC resin during the subsequent investigation
