Medicine Hat police charge woman after allegedly running two red lights on e-motorcycle
A 48-year-old woman is facing multiple charges after police say she ran two red lights on an e-motorcycle and narrowly avoided being hit by a transport truck in Medicine Hat.
The Medicine Hat Police Service said officers were conducting roving patrols on Monday in the area of Gershaw Drive SW and the Trans-Canada Highway when they observed the woman operating an e-motorcycle with a wattage greater than 500 watts.
Police allege the woman travelled through two red lights at a high rate of speed without stopping before nearly being struck by a transport truck.
Officers stopped the woman and determined she was a suspended driver.
