Medicine Hat police ask for public help in seeking two men wanted in connection with shooting

Following what police describe as an extensive investigation by the Major Crime Unit, arrest warrants have been issued for 31-year-old Robert Bourassa of Calgary and 26-year-old Levi Chudyk of Calgary.

Bourassa is wanted on charges including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace and two counts of failing to comply with a firearms prohibition order.

Chudyk is wanted on charges including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm with intent to wound, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, pointing a firearm, obstructing a peace officer and three counts of failing to comply with a firearms prohibition order.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of either man to contact the Medicine Hat Police Service or their local police agency, as the investigation remains ongoing.

Investigators are advising the public not to approach or attempt to apprehend the suspects.
