A daily weather record was set on Sunday at Cypress Hills Provincial Park on the Saskatchewan side.
Environment Canada said the new record high for July 12 is now 31.8 C, up 1.4 degrees from the 30.4 C temperature set in 2003.
Records at Cypress Hills Provincial Park have been kept since 1918.
