Medicine Hat Tigers sign defenceman Hunter Saddleback

The Medicine Hat Tigers have signed 2010-born defenceman Hunter Saddleback to a WHL Scholarship and Development agreement.

Saddleback was the Tigers second selection (67th overall) in the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft and is the Tabbies’ third signing from this draft class after signing 2010-born netminder Ben Meyer late last week.

The product of St. Albert, Alta., lists at 6’1″, 154 lbs and joins a Tigers blue-line that has plenty of opportunity.

With only two of six starting defencemen slated to return for the 2026-27 season, Saddleback joins fellow 2025 draftee Luke Warrener and recent 2026 CHL Import Draft selection Denis Pasler as frontrunners to crack the roster.
