Friday and Saturday, varying ticket prices
Dubbed the “greatest outdoor party on dirt”, the annual Quonset Days festival officially kicks off Friday night and runs until Saturday.
Gates open at 5 p.m. on Friday. There will beer gardens, a silent auction, a tractor race and several music artists, including George Canyon.
Saturday gets underway with a pancake breakfast at 9 a.m. on Saturday and ends off with the Fox and the Hounds band at midnight.
The long-running festival is a fundraiser for Lou Gehrig’s disease research through the ALS Society of Alberta.

Saturday, 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., free to attend
Towne Square block parties are running all summer long.
This weekend’s theme is celebrating sport and movement, back after a week hiatus due to the chili cook-off last weekend.
There will be no block party next weekend as the Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede is on.

The Medicine Hat Exhibition and Stampede’s famous roster of free pancake breakfasts get started on Saturday morning.
The first pancake breakfast runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Homestead Market.

Sunday, free
Medicine Hat-Cardston-Warner MP Glen Motz is hosting a free public barbecue on Sunday afternoon.
Registration is not required for the free event. It runs from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kin Coulee Park band shelter.

Monday, free to attend
The bi-annual Family, Fun and Flight event runs from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport on Monday.
