Darlene Jenkins, owner and founder of Just Be TC Personal Leadership Training Solutions and Battle of the Businesses organizer, said there’s still one opening available.

“We would really like to fill that last team and just really have a great day,” Jenkins said.

“It’s a Friday afternoon from one to three and what a better way to join together with your team, network with other businesses and get out and just have a good time together.”

Jenkins said some of the challenges include tug of war, to sack races and more.

“We have people like Cypress County Fire Department coming out to host the water bucket bridge and the do a great job of it,” Jenkins said.

“Volleyball, we have a an obstacle course, but it’s not a difficult challenging obstacle course it’s about doing the challenges together as a team,” she added.

“There’s a few surprise events, we’ve got to change a few of the events up because we’ve had businesses this is their third year attending.”

Jenkins said they are happy to help fundraise for HALO Air Ambulance.

“There’s a lot of people that believe in HALO so they really get behind this and so it’s been a good support for HALO,” Jenkins said.

“HALO comes out and they compete in the events or they volunteer up until now they’ve competed and hopefully this year they can have a chance to watch the event and just help volunteer,” she added.

“They’re a big part of our community and we totally believe in supporting them.”

Jenkins said as a high performance coach and leadership coach, she realizes the importance to be able to give a team a chance to rest and recharge.

“I think that sometimes we wonder is it going to be beneficial and worth our time to take three hours out of our week to go and do have some fun together, but it actually according to science it makes us more productive, it builds morale, it just builds bigger stronger teams,” Jenkins said.

“I really want to encourage people to come on out for three hours let’s have a good time we got some really great sponsors that have sponsored this event and are bringing some really exciting things to it, so i just challenge you to come on out and join the fun.”
