COVID-19 update: Province confirms 380 new cases

EDMONTON, AB- There are 380 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed across the province today. The province also confirmed seven new deaths.

A total of 8,380 tests were completed over a 24 hour period.

Hospitalizations stand at 336 province-wide. Of those 51 are in ICU.

Sixteen new cases of the UK and South African variant were confirmed bringing the total number of variant cases to 262. There are no cases of the variant in the South Zone.

In Medicine Hat, there are 17 active cases of COVID-19. 516 cases have recovered and the city has seen 14 deaths attributed to the pandemic.

Cypress County has two active cases, 144 people have recovered. The county has seen two deaths attributed to the pandemic.

Newell County has zero active cases, 156 recoveries, and two deaths.

The City of Brooks has zero active cases, 1350 recoveries, and 14 recorded deaths.

The Municipal District of Taber four active cases, 326 recoveries and six deaths.

The County of Forty Mile has zero active cases, 115 recoveries and two deaths attributed to the pandemic.

Lethbridge County has 15 active cases, 511 recoveries, and seven recorded deaths.

The City of Lethbridge has 202 active cases, 1769 recoveries and 20 recorded deaths.
