COVID-19 update: Province records 251 new cases; 4.6 per cent positivity rate

MEDICINE HAT, AB- There are 251 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed across the province today.

A total of 351 people are in hospital and 58 are in ICU.

Two new deaths were also confirmed.

The province said over the past 24 hours 5,389 tests were completed. The provincial positivity rate is 4.6 per cent.

In Medicine Hat, there are 17 active cases and 510 recoveries. Fourteen people have died.

In Cypress County, there is one active case and 144 recoveries.

Newell County also has one case. A total of 155 people have recovered and the county has two deaths attributed to the pandemic.

The city of Brooks has two active cases. A total of 1,349 people have recovered and 14 people have died from COVID-19.

The County of Forty Mile has zero active cases, 115 recoveries and two deaths attributed to COVID-19.
