City school buses to run Friday morning

MEDICINE HAT, AB – Schools in Medicine Hat will get back to normal Friday, ending a week that saw bus routes cancelled due to the cold weather.

The Medicine Hat Public School Division says schools will be open and buses will run Friday.

The division asks parents to help their children time their walk to the bus so that their wait is as short as possible and encourage parents, if they can, to drive your child(ren) to the bus stop and wait while sitting in a warm vehicle.

The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education has also said buses will be running and schools will be open Friday.

Both divisions are asking parents to ensure children leave for the bus with appropriate winter clothing.

After Friday, schools will be closed for the regular February break.
