Canadian Marie-Michele Gagnon finishes sixth in super-G at worlds
CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy — Canadian Marie-Michele Gagnon tied a career-best world championships result with a sixth-place finish in the super-G, while Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami dashed to gold on Thursday.
American Mikaela Shiffrin took bronze in her first speed race in more than a year.
Gagnon, from Lac-Etchemin, Que., also finished sixth in the combined at the 2017 worlds in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
The Canadian was .41 seconds behind Shiffrin.
