MEDICINE HAT — A 54-year-old man is accused of weapons and assault charges, as a result of what police called a high-risk incident this past Monday.
Police say a man exited a structure near Smelter Avenue and Factory Street SE on Monday afternoon, pointing a long barrel weapon at officers on scene.
He was subdued with a single shot from a projectile launcher and arrested.
Dale Melbourn is charged with possession of a weapon, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm and breach of previous release conditions.
