BREAKING: Redcliff Arena closed following accident

Redcliff, AB – The Redcliff Arena has been shut down following an incident early Sunday morning.

RCMP, EMS and Firefighters were called to the arena around 7:45 a.m., after a vehicle made its way through the exterior wall all the way through to the arena boards.

Redcliff’s Deputy Fire Chief John McBain says the man driving the vehicle was sent to hospital by EMS and there were no other injuries reported from the incident.

At this time, RCMP are releasing no information on the details of the accident.

An officer on-scene said more information would be provided on Monday, when Sergeant Sean Maxwell is available.
