MAPLE CREEK, SASK. — The Correctional Service of Canada says an inmate has escaped from the Okimaw Ohci Healing Lodge near Maple Creek.

According to a news release from CSC, Joely Lambourn was discovered missing during an inmate count at 12:25 p.m. on Friday. The Maple Creek RCMP detachment was immediately notified.

Lambourn, 45, is currently serving a sentence of two years, six months and 17 days for dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and being unlawfully at large.

The lodge is the same lodge convicted killer Terri-Lynn McClintic was transferred to. McClintic was recently transferred to a women’s prison in Edmonton following national outrage over the decision.
