2024 Medicine Hat JazzFest lineup revealed, tickets on sale

Tickets went on sale and the lineup for the 2024 Medicine Hat JazzFest was revealed Thursday.

The festival pass cost was reduced to $150.25 and there’s a new youth ticket price that allows anyone age 25 and younger to purchase a ticket to any show for $20.

Tickets can be purchased at MedicineHatJazzFest.com.

Italian guitarist Pasquale Grasso, Canadian vocal sensation Laura Anglade and Norwary’s stellar Kjetil Mulelid Trio are among those performing this year.

Some new aspects to this year’s festival include an extension to the popular dance party at theSuper T Aviation Hangar at the Medicine Hat Airport.

This event, that runs Saturday, June 29, will feature two bands this year, local favorites The Hip Katz along with Calgary’s Sabor a Cuba Latin Band.

The event begins at 5 p.m. and runs through the evening.

Executive and artistic director Kyle Rebbeck said Medicine Hat is hosting artists that have performed at festivals across the country.

“This truly is a stellar line-up featuring some ofthe world’s best jazz musicians who are performing at the other major jazz festivals across Canada,” Rebbeck said.

The Medicine Hat Jazz Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to presenting the best in jazz music, educating the community about jazz and nurturing the future of jazz music.

The festival is a winner of an Alberta Chamber of Commerce Business Award in Arts and Culture and two Medicine Hat Chamber of Commerce Business Awards in tourism.
