All three Ruck brothers find scoresheet, Tigers topple ‘Canes 5-3 in preseason debut
The Medicine Hat Tigers began the preseason on a winning note Tuesday night, taking down the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-3, but the result was secondary to one of the cooler hockey stories you’ll ever see.
Twin brothers Liam and Markus Ruck, who were both drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins this offseason, got the opportunity to play alongside their younger brother Landon for the first time in their lives.
Landon was drafted by the Tigers in the eighth round of the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft, and although listed as a defenseman, the coaching staff elected to play him on the wing alongside his two older twin brothers.
“It was awesome,” Landon grinned.
