Medicine Hat Tigers begin preseason against the Lethbridge Hurricanes

Although listed as a defenseman, Landon will play as a forward tonight in what will surely be a night to remember for the family.

“He usually plays defense, but I thought it’d be better if he plays with his brothers up front.”

It will be the first time in their lives that the Ruck twins will play alongside Landon in an actual game.

“When we signed Markus and Liam I think Landon was more excited than they were, and now it’s great for him to come in and see him in here and get a chance to play.”

There is more to look forward to for Tiger fans as the preseason begins tonight.

The Tabbies’ first-round pick from the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft, Max Osgood, will make his preseason debut tonight.

Osgood impressed at training camp with both his skill and work ethic.

“He’s a really good player all-around. Probably the biggest thing about him is his love for the game, it’s not work for him, it’s fun for him.”

Notable camp standouts Shane Reghr and Kai Molyneux will also make their Tigers preseason debut tonight.

“[Shane]’s got a little meanness like his dad did. He plays hard, has a smile on his face, big guy, right-handed shot, just a lot of things you like about him.”

Cash Christie will draw the start tonight for the Tigers, with Ben Meyer serving as the backup.

Puck drop is slated for 7:00 p.m. from inside the VisitLethbridge.com Arena.
